Yes I am fully aware that I am jumping the gun in terms of Spring talk but I am just too excited to sit still!  This year brings us an abundance of trends and covering them all will be my pleasure!  Seeing as I have had a passionate unrequited love affair with J Crew for the better part of my 20's, what better way to start this spring trend conversation than with some of their lovely pieces.  Their stuff is not in my itty bitty tiny budget but hey, a girl can always dream.  Enjoy! 1) Necklace $135 2) Tank top $138

I know myself well enough that if I were put in a flight or fright situation, I would run like hell. My love and appreciation for flat shoes stems from this. I can walk into a shoe store and pick up every flat (the cheap vs. steep, the trendy vs. granny) and all nod in approval. But show me Burberry’s studded platforms and I shudder in fear. Show me any starlet that dons her Louboutin’s on the red carpet with pride, a tight painful smile and an overabundance of blisters on her toes hidden by concealer and I sigh in pity. If there was any look that I have been coveting for Fall 2007, it is Balenciaga and his fitted piped blazers, ethnic scarves, and schoolboy charm. I (and many fashion magazines out there) would say that he single-handedly brought this look to the streets and the mass markets. This is the show that was a turning point for me in terms of fashion: I was suddenly able to embrace true Ready to Wear. I no longer just desired Michael Kors’s cashmere sweaters or Carolina Herrera’s white blouse…Nicolas Ghesquiere gave me the freedom to think outside the fashion box, if not for more than a few moments...Let us all agree that I cannot even afford the white eyeshadow sported on these models, but alas! Uh...those high waisted pants are really getting to me...I am slowly falling in love with them...and this love will run so deep.
