Ok here me out- never a fan am I of items that are on the cusp of being uber trendy because normally the piece is not regular woman body friendly.  Normally it emerges as a style adorned mostly by the tall n skinny models. This in fact does apply to the acid wash leggings- much less flattering than its black counterpart (the light color definitely emphasizes the thighs- yikes!) it will remain at bay with the general population for at least another few months.  However, seeing as it's 1985 again, these will become a staple in many a wardrobe come spring/ summer. This model featured here makes this trend much more bearable in a kind of bark bigger than bite kind of way. It is not so bad you know, and she rocks those leggings to utter perfection- the long slim fitting jacket, booties and clutch- seriously right frikin on! I realized that I was teetering on the tomboy- masculine side when I preferred keeping things in my coat pocket as opposed to stuffing them in a pretty purse (which by the way I own like a thousand of).  Therefore it is no surprise that when chunky watches started to mark their territory in women's wear that I would fall head over heels.  I don't like dainty itty bitty watches- as a matter of fact I dont really use watches seeing as I am permanently glued to my blackberry.  But I love the look of the chunky watch- it give off this effortless "Yeah whatever, I tell time" cool vibe. 1) Marc by Marc Jacobs at Asos $256 2) Fossil at Blue Nile $125 3) Adidas at Bloomingdale's $60 4) Top Shop $50 5) G by Guess $95

When  saw Kate in this blue number, I gasped- like out loud.  The color is stunning and the one shoulder look suits her to a frikin T.  BTW- a great look for the holidays.

The beat up destroyed denim jeans seem to be on the up and up.  So silly was I to think this trend would be fleeting.  I could not have been more wrong.  Nor could I have misjudged myself so much.  These jeans, faded and slightly torn, worn with the rolled cuffs seem to be the perfect replacement for our dark denim skinnies we have been sporting since 2006 (2005 for you fashion forward readers).    Here I wanted to write a post about the tan platform and I have clearly gone on a tangent about the jeans. ha. Ok so Spring is about all that is boyfriend. By this, I do not mean the guy that makes your heart go pitter patter. I am referring to the blazer that makes your head swoon. You know the one- it hits right at the hip, has a casual and fitted look, available in black, white and anything in between. It can be worn with the sleeves pushed up or over a dress for that chic disheveled "oh this little number? it's nothing" look. I am loving the piped blazer. Ever since Balenciaga re-introduced us school boy prep meets ethnic luxe, I have been all over the look and those fabulous piped blazers. I am currently in a battle within myself. Ill be moving to Costa Rica for a few months to learn Spanish. This move takes place in early November.
