Noteworthy Fashion Site for the Guys: Fashion beans

One of the most comments I get from guys on Lookbook goes something like this "OT (my nickname), your site is nice and all but none of it really applies to me- when are you going to start posting stuff for guys? We need fashion advice too."  I always nod in sympathy but have never had a chance to emerge myself in all that is men's fashion .  I just don't have enough hours in the day. This is where Fashion Beans  comes in.  It is a site  chock full o' trend reporting, lookbooks, contests and special offers.

More NYC Fall 2010 RTW

Ugh so I swooned over Anna yesterday and now I am swooning over Carolina Herrera .  So many of her looks just reminded me of why I love her so much.  Granted her style is incredibly wearable, but this time around, seems that there was so much more.  Anything and everything that is romantic seems to have taken over the runway and I think Carolina took it one step further with opulence- rich colors, the dresses and the hats- oh my! According to Tim Blanks: "a perfect balance between richness and escape".  I could not have said it better myself. ;)

Some NYC Fall 2010 RTW

From Proenza Schouler's show inspired by the artist Christopher Wool to the feminine yet constructed suit's  by Fracisco Costa at Calvin Klein, NYC Fall shows did not disappoint.  But I have got to hand it to Anna Sui, she really surprised me this season with her show.  Normally, I do not get where she is coming from and cannot really appreciate her creations but this time around, wowza.  Inspired by Gustav Stickley , a furniture maker and architect and the Arts and Crafts Movement, the colors were lush and textures fantastic and the prints just worked in ever single one of her looks (see 2 of her looks below- far right).  I will be posting my favorite NYC Ready to Wear Fall 2010 looks throughout the next few days- look out for some more Anna.

They are hot, match with pretty much everything and because of the color, will make your legs look extra long.  What is not to love about nude platform pumps?  I guess maybe just the comfort factor...

Floral Dresses for $50 and under!

So florals are not only still around (bear with me here for an obvious pun) the trend is really blossoming. Hehe.  Scarlett rocks a ladylike version here below but I am feeling quite free spirited these days so I have provided a few versions in various shapes and sizes (and all for a pretty cheap price).  That way you have money left over for the other trends i'll be posting about in upcoming days. :P Enjoy!
