Ok here me out- never a fan am I of items that are on the cusp of being uber trendy because normally the piece is not regular woman body friendly.  Normally it emerges as a style adorned mostly by the tall n skinny models. This in fact does apply to the acid wash leggings- much less flattering than its black counterpart (the light color definitely emphasizes the thighs- yikes!) it will remain at bay with the general population for at least another few months.  However, seeing as it's 1985 again, these will become a staple in many a wardrobe come spring/ summer. This model featured here makes this trend much more bearable in a kind of bark bigger than bite kind of way. It is not so bad you know, and she rocks those leggings to utter perfection- the long slim fitting jacket, booties and clutch- seriously right frikin on! Hmmm ok so I saw this American Apparel  ad and it caught my attention.  I mean a girl scantily clad in nothing but a lace unitard is not something you see everyday (in most professions that is).  I am still not yet sure what the point of this piece is.  What purpose does it serve?  Should you layer it?  Belt it? Maybe pair it with a scarf?  Or maybe take a cue from J-Lo and rock the Louboutins with it?

I am all about practicality and efficiency.  I like things quick, easy and simple.  This is depicted in pretty much every aspect of my life.  Take my cooking habits for ex- I do not have any because I do not cook.  I would rather mix an array of ingredients in a bowl, stuff them in the microwaving and hope for the best.  The outcome is not always stellar, I am not going to lie. I was so proud of myself a few days ago because I was able to simultaneously dry my hair with a diffuser and tweeze my eyebrows- the whole concoction involved a lamp shade, a small table, an extension cord and a bit of balance/coordination on my end.  If it is multi-taskable and quick, I am there.  It is no surprise then that I am alll over this American Apparel dress - there are about 9 million ways to wear it, a variety of colors and a relatively cheap price.  Simple, quick, efficient and easy- now thats my style.  Enjoy ;) American Apparel Fine Jersey T Dress - $36

Not having the internet at home makes it a tad difficult to post regularly on Lookbook- argh.  It does not help that trends deemed worthwhile to post about are few and far between.  But lo and behold... denim leggings made their appearance. I know it is an iffy one but please do not knock it before you try it.  In a time when regular cotton leggings have become a staple in every woman's wardrobe and women no longer bat a single lash at the mention of their leather shiny counterparts, it's only fitting that there would be some sort of brand extension into the denim category.    Ok... so let's just say you have accepted and even embraced the denim legging.  So now how do you wear it?  My suggestion is as usual, to keep it simple.  With such an oh la la trend, one must not go overboard with the bells and whistles.  Keep the length of the top below the butt, nothing too tight, and a neutral color will tie the look together impeccably.  Keep the accessories muted and let the den...

Ok so my legs are not long and lithe like a ballerina's and heels are strictly reserved for special occasions therefor shiny leggings are not so much for me.  However I do appreciate the look. I go to school at Concordia now. Every morning I get there by way of St. Catherine street. It's a lovely walk- what with the plethora of stores that make the route so much more enjoyable. But the thing that catches my eye the most ( besides the lovely Montrealers- seriously Montreal has some fine looking people) is this hoodie.
