Kate Walsh is Inspiring...

Image
Click on images to Enlarge~ Pics of Kate courtesy of Just Jared PS: I know, I know...the booked look is not acurate because she has cropped skinny jeans but I felt that to acomodate the winter approaching, jeans should not be cropped. And skinny looks bad on me so I chose these basics... Finally!

Image
In light of Fall's trend in texture and the Olsen twins propelling these types of bags into the tres tres a la mode universe, I felt it was my duty as a blogger to report that during my numerous visits to Eaton Center, St Catherine st. and Complexe Les Ailes during lunch that these bags are a poppin up! And you can get them for cheap...no longer need to get a 2nd mortgage to afford the Fendi one...could life get any better? I didn't think so! Granted they are a bit too trend specific for me, but for those of you that are into this (or that are starting to notice that boho chic is slowly making its way back to fashion...), this posting is dedicated to yalls! Eggstatic about Eggplant

Image
If you are a magazine fiend (as I am) you have undoubtedly noticed the overwhelming abundance of all that is grey for fall with the played out “grey is the new black” subtitle. I am so over it... I don’t know about you, but I am craving color…dark rich color for fall. The timing for eggplant's emergence could not have been more impeccable. Sweaters, blouses, t-shirts and even shoes are popping up in this non-eggressive shade. Here are a few ideas on how to wear this egguberant color: Pair a blouse with some dark denim jeans and silver belt for an eggseptional look Surpass everyone’s eggspectations by wearing an embellished eggplant top Eggsude confidence with plaid eggplant pants or pencil skirt. BOOK THIS LOOK- Cameron Diaz

Image
You would think that in a world of bright accessories, a purple and a yellow combo may be overdoing it. But for Cameron right now...I don't know if it is because she dated Justin or something, but this seems to work. The bright yellow and purple seem to somehow coexist in harmony...pair that with Hepburn's stripes and dark denim and you are good to go. By the way, in light of me always wanting to keep it simple...this about as far as I will go in terms of mixing colors and patterns...so un-adventurous of me! Book This Look: . Stripe Top Club Monaco $39.00 . Jacket Suzy Shier $25.00 . Jeans RW& Co. $65.00 . Scarf Le Chateau $19.95 . Bangle H&M $7.90 . Necklace La Maison Simmons $20.00 . Shoes Aldo $59.95 Free Counter The following text will not be seen after you upload your website, please keep it in order to retain your counter functionality online blackjack

BOOK THIS LOOK- Helena Christensen

Image
Ok so Helena has mixed the brown bag and gold/black flats with this dress. Seeing as she is an ex supermodel, she must have some say in what works and what doesn't right? Not so much... I would not have gone with the brown, black and gold color to acessorize the dress. I think that red would be the key accent color with this look. Peep toes anyone? I have taken the liberty, dearest reader, to provide you with a slight plethora of alternative options for your enjoyment:

White Here, White Now

Image
White has always been a tricky color. It always looks crisp and clean in the magazines and yet when we buy white, here is what tends to happen: Situation 1: We vow to take care of it, washing it only with other whites. Then reality sets in and due to lack of time or just plain laziness, they end up in the wash with your hot pink underwear or those never before washed dark denim jeans. This then turns your white into either a pale pink, or a light shade of smog. The “formally known as white” top gathers dust in the closet ( we feel too guilty throwing it out, I mean we JUST bought it and have yet to wear it)... Situation 2: We buy cheap white tops and bottoms, figuring "hey it’s cheap, for sure I’ll wear it" (why, oh why, do we lie to ourselves so?) . Then to our amazement, we try them on and realize “oh my” we can see right through the shirt to our belly buttons (not cool). The transparent top is pushed far back into our drawers. Ignorance is Bliss. Situation 3: We buy a whit...

BOOK THIS LOOK- Drew Barrymore

Image
*So we all see how Drew looks quite pretty and simple here right? Ok, the next time we are in front of our burgeoning closets, staring in disbelief and utter confusion, wondering why, oh why we have nothing to wear, let us all remember this picture of Drew. So simple with just a couple of accessories. I am quite sure we all own a black top (I own about 85) and we all have either a pair of white pants or- if white pants is not your thing cuz you think it is too Miami Vice - a pair of jeans. Put that together with a simple bangle and a nice purse and voila! Dahhhling, you will dazzle them all with your effortless style. Oh and don't forget the lipgloss (for a touch of lustre to the ensemble). Love. It. Sacré Bleu!

Image
Remember when we were young and pink was for girls and blue was for boys? You remember that blue? It was not like a baby or a teal blue, nor was it a navy blue. This was your basic " Hi, I am a 5 year old boy look at my bedsheet" blue or " Hey, what's up I am a crayola box, let me introduce you to Blue ". Many would refer to it as cobalt blue . It is being presented in stores now with the yellows and kelly greens . It is clear that cobalt blue is very spring/summer 2007. The color can be seen on everyone from (Parker Posey in Lucky April 2007 to Kate and Cameron in Harpers Bazaar February 2007) Cobalt blue is also quite present within Canadian Retailers such as Bedo, Dynamite, Smart Set, Reitmans, Costa Blanca, Winners...the list goes on and on. Now comes fun part: what to wear with the blue. May I suggest a pair of basic white pants or...you guessed it...some black leggings (as seen here). While you are at it, the bright blue will look exceptionally sharp w...
