Hi, I recently bought this vest: http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3583202 How can I wear this vest casually? I've thought about belting it and wearing it with a tank top or T-shirt. It's a bit long, so I'm not really sure how to wear it. Can you offer any outfit ideas? Thanks! Leslie Hi Leslie, Here are a few ideas, enjoy! 1) I would do an all white outfit (white tank and jeans, and combine the grey sleeveless card with either the snakeskin or brown belt.   2) If you want something a bit more out there, work the pleather leggings with the white top and snakeskin belt for added pizzazz! The Denim Vest

You step out of the fashion blogging world for 1 week (i.e. 52 years in Internet time) and you miss all kinds of interesting trends that have slowly been establishing themselves as next years mainstream looks.  Enter the denim vest.  Yesterday I discussed the denim legging and I feel it is only fitting to go over its vested counterpart.  We all have the black vest that we pair with our skinny jeans and layered necklaces... blah, blah, been there, done that, saw the spread in People Style Watch and am a bit over it.  Most of us also probably have a denim vest, circa 1985 that we paired with our Milli Vanilli t-shirts, don't lie.  Most of us also probably outgrew said denim vest and gave them away all the while thinking "yeah thats never coming back again..."  Wrong again, we were.  The denim vest is back in variety of styles- studded, distressed, cropped, what have you.  You can wear it with slim black pants and a long tunic or pair it with shiny leggings for added oomph.  Wear the denim vest with a pair of jeans if you must but it is crucial that the denims do not match in any way shape or form.  Below I have provided an array of said vest- enjoy!

Denim Leggings

Not having the internet at home makes it a tad difficult to post regularly on Lookbook- argh.  It does not help that trends deemed worthwhile to post about are few and far between.  But lo and behold... denim leggings made their appearance. I know it is an iffy one but please do not knock it before you try it.  In a time when regular cotton leggings have become a staple in every woman's wardrobe and women no longer bat a single lash at the mention of their leather shiny counterparts, it's only fitting that there would be some sort of brand extension into the denim category.    Ok... so let's just say you have accepted and even embraced the denim legging.  So now how do you wear it?  My suggestion is as usual, to keep it simple.  With such an oh la la trend, one must not go overboard with the bells and whistles.  Keep the length of the top below the butt, nothing too tight, and a neutral color will tie the look together impeccably.  Keep the accessories muted and let the denim leggings speak for themselves!
