Happy fall! Last winter as my fingers wore holes in the pockets of my old (but beloved) winter coat I vowed that next fall I would splurge and buy myself a new one. Now I am on the hunt for the perfect timeless coat to get me through the next few winter seasons. Fall has presented us with a vast array of shoes that made us salivate profusely and gasp in unison “ooooh, so hhhhhottt!” The styles run the gamut from the stacked heel to the everlasting peep toe to the ever present flat (adorned with jewels, lined in gold trims, with a feather on the side…you name it, it’s there). But coming up from behind these all stars is the one I am the most iffy about. But then again my style is so plain Jane, I buy Gap Wide Leg Pants (which by the way are so fabulous especially if you have short legs because you discover ankle length pants-no hemming! and you realize that they make their sizes big so all of a sudden you are a size 2- the last time you were a size 2, you were 2! and they are so comfortable and there are even loops for your skinny belts and pockets so you can put your hands in them and casually look cool like in the ad as you wait for the bus in the a.m and you jump up and down in the change room and squeal with joy and are embarrassed when the...

Besides the Ready to Wear and Haute Couture lines that designers have, some also partake in the resort line (aka cruise collection). This line is in stores longer than any other line (generally from November to May) and targets those jet setters that travel to the sun destination when the weather gets cold. It is usually my favorite because of the colors, shapes and tends to be more "commercial". Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka and Gucci are among the few that have this collection. Below are some of what I feel are the prettiest little outfits from both the 2007 and 2008 resort lines. Enjoy! I love the hat below....not sure I could pull it off... These dresses are stunning...the prints are colors are beautiful. I love the Oscar skirt... even with a simple white t-shirt it would look amazing!
