Lookbook

I used to wear red a lot back in the day (i.e. 2-3 years ago).  But then I drifted into the darker palettes- the greys and navy blues.  But these new dresses are awakening my senses for all that is red.  I love the idea of short red mini dress with the subtle tan shoe.  The contrast between both work wonders together.  In typical Lookbook fashion, I provided 2 looks- one that is pretty affordable and another that is a bit on the pricey side.  Enjoy! Fashion followers take heed- the cropped tops we so happily disposed of in the late 80's are back.  No longer can we rely on the tunics and long tanks to cover our tummies.  They are now fully exposed with the return of this trend.  As with anything new and outside the box, it will take  me a few months to grasp my head around the idea.  I am not there yet but if you feel the need to show your belly button, take a cue from these inspiring ladies on the Fashion Board below.

Call me old fashioned but to me, you wear those shirts if you are a huge fan. I would just feel like I was betraying the group if I did not hum their songs daily as I wait for my bus every morning. I would always be afraid that a stranger would stop me with prodding questions about the group's background, traditions and religious views. In return, I would just stare with a blank expression as I can barely pronounce the name of said group. The stranger would then point, laugh and announce to the world that I was a big fat phony. I dont want to be called a phony. So I don't wear rocker t-shirts unless I attended 2 concerts, own a book about them, cut out at least 6 months worth of Big Bopper pics and can recite most of their songs (air guitar and all).
